Harbor College Awards Honorary Degree to Victim of San Bernardino Terrorist Attack

Aurora Godoy was the youngest victim of the terrorist attack in San Bernardino on Dec. 2, 2015. She was only 26 years old, married, mother of a 2-year old boy and enrolled at Harbor College at the time of her death. To honor her memory, Harbor College posthumously awarded her an associate degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences.

On May 11, 2016, in coordination with the press office of Harbor College we invited the media to the ceremony. The day of the event we facilitated live shots for the main TV station in the Los Angeles area, distributed press materials, and coordinated interviews with college officials and family members, both in English and Spanish.
